Is there anything I can do to resolve this situation other than disposing of my phone? It's the first time I've bought a 'flagship' phone and my first nominally-Google-manufactured device, and I've never had such an unreliable device despite its easy life in lockdown over the last year. I've tried flushing out the power button with isopropyl alcohol and 'flicking' it as described elsewhere, and neither has changed its behavior. After a day, being stuck in the high-power bootup sequence has depleted the battery faster than I am able to recharge via wireless charging (the only option). My Pixel 3XL is a refurb I got when my first device needed to be RMA'd at the 6 month mark, and now seems to be dead at 2 years old.Īfter its charging port crapped out at the 1.5 year mark, I've been able to nurse my Pixel 3XL along until last night when it started bootlooping, in a way that suggests its power button is somehow triggering itself at a ~2s period- when I try selecting recovery mode, the device instead auto-selects 'normal' boot and reenters the bootloop.
